1. Who are we?
LanguageStays is a study travel agency that provides you with language courses abroad. Our goal is to help you learn a language ​​while you enjoy an amazing experience.
Our head office is located in Spain. We have sales and operations teams in the UK, USA, Colombia and Mexico.

At LanguageStays we provide customised language-learning experiences to fit your taste, needs and objectives. We always offer good quality service for a fair price, and we make sure you are happy with your overseas stay.

Our services include organising the language school and accommodation for you to study abroad. We can also arrange your air and land transport (between the airport and the accommodation) and your travel insurance. Once at your destination, we can also offer tours to major attractions, theatre tickets and special events with great discounts.

Finally, we can help find temporary employment if possible: for example, babysitting or in hospitality.

2. What are the courses like?
Our language courses comprise listening and reading activities, and conversations between the students for them to participate actively in their own teaching. Our teachers will also pay attention to grammar and will help you with any areas for improvement.

The General Language Courses LanguageStays usually include 15 hours per week. The Intensive Language Courses LanguageStays usually start at 20 hours per week, but we can increase the number of hours if you would like us to.

Classes are from Monday to Friday. The schedule is up to you: the available hours are usually morning (9am to 12pm), noon (12pm-3pm) or late (3pm-6pm).

Courses start every Monday. We strongly recommend to arrive at your destination on Saturday prior to your course to get to know the town and have a good start. You must register at the school either on your first day or earlierusing the course confirmation letter that LanguageStays will give you. You will then sit a test to determine your level for the the school to assign you to the appropriate group.

3. What are the LanguageStays schools like?

Our partnering schools are recognized by official education bodies in their countries. For example, in England the schools are accredited by the British Council or the British Accreditation Council and the Instituto Cervantes usually certifies the Spanish schools.
School are located in the centre of the towns for better transports and amenities. For example, in London we have partnering schools in the best areas: Holborn, King’s Cross or Shepherd's Bush, all within Zone 1.

The schools usually have internet access and support materials available to students. The following services and facilities are usually available in our schools:

  • Wifi
  • Computer room
  • Library
  • Exchange service available to native students
  • Cultural programme: trips, visits, welcome parties, etc ...

4. What is the accommodation like?
LanguageStays will offer the available accommodation option that best suits your needs and taste, always at a fair price. Depending on the destination and availability you can choose between different types of accommodation.

  • You can choose accommodation in host family, apartment or residence.
  • You can choose single or shared rooms, with en-suite or shared bathroom.
  • The meal plan can be self-service (self-catering), bed and breakfast (bed & breakfast), half board (half-board) or full board (full board).

5. How can I book my LanguageStays course?
The booking instructions are easy:
1) Fill in and send the pre-booking form in the Book Now section [link to Reserve] choosing your course, destination city and type of accommodation. Read and accept the Terms also Courses. LanguageStays does the rest!
2) After receiving the pre-booking form we will immediately send you an email with your personalised pricing and instructions for partial or full payment depending on your choice.
3) Once you pay, congratulations, you booked your LanguageStays Course! We will send you the confirmation of your LanguageStays Course along with documentation for the visa should you require it.
4) Pack your bags, we will organise anything else. We will send you the full details and the necessary advice for your to enjoy an amazing experience.

6. Can I cancel my course after enrollment?
You can cancel the course after enrollment but there are some conditions stated in the terms included in the LanguageStays Course Booking Request.

7. What official documents need to bring? Do I need insurance?
Your passport or National Identity Document (DNI) is valid for citizens of the European Union whose destination lies within the Schengen Area. For citizens and/or destinations outside of the Schengen Area you may need your passport and student visa depending on your chosen destination country.

We recommend that you do not travel without insurance (travel, medical, contents). Buy it in your home country. If you want we can arrange the right policy on your behalf thanks to our agreements with insurers.
